Sustainable by Design

We mention a lot about the ingredients and materials we use and how sustainable they are. But there's another big element of what we do- sustainability by design.
Every element of our products is thought out very carefully- some of it may not even be apparent at first look.
We consider how people use our products throughout their life. Often, in the real world, it's not about whether something can be reused/recycled- it's whether people WILL reuse or recycle it.
Our candle vessels don't have paper labels or scent names on the front. Why? 2 reasons. Firstly, paper labels get scruffy over time. When things get scruffy, people tend not to want them in their house and are more likely to dispose of them. Our high quality durable transfers don't fade or change over time, and are heatproof and easy to wash. So when you refill your candle, you can have it looking just as good again. Our vessels are designed to look great in your home and to stay that way. Secondly, we don't want you to be stuck with one scent in a vessel. So you can pick a refill of a different core scent, and it doesn't matter if the scent isn't the same as the original one because the label won't give it away. Of course, the vessels are completely recyclable when you do choose to finally move on from your candle- or you can reuse them for something else!
Our plant wraps for our organic candles are similar. Lots of companies include a little seeded "dust cover" with their candles. The problem here is that there are only a few seeds- barely enough to be worth planting. Seed paper can't be recycled, so most likely it ends up in the bin. We use a generous amount of seedpaper- with enough seeds to plant a good size pot or corner of a flowerbed. So it's actually worth it for people to take the time to plant it.
There are lots of other examples of little things like this across the range. Genuine care, attention to detail and refusal to compromise are what set us apart from others.
Have any ideas you think we should get on board with?
